Shipping, Returns & Free Pickup

Shipping

Orders will only be shipped after verification and processing by our Order Processing Department. While we strive to process orders within 24 hours, this does not guarantee same-day shipping. Please note that Smart Home Outlet cannot guarantee next-day delivery, as shipping speed depends on the courier service.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number that will let you view more details about the status of your order.

Shipping Charges:

• Standard ground shipping starts at $12.99.
• Additional fees may apply for shipments exceeding standard weight/dimensions or going to remote locations. If extra charges are necessary, a Smart Home Outlet representative will notify you with details. You may cancel your order if you disagree with these charges. Please note, shipping fees are non-refundable.

Shipping Methods:

Orders are shipped via UPS, Canpar, Purolator, ICS Courier, or Canada Post.

Shipping Restrictions:

• We currently ship only within Canada.
• Couriers cannot deliver to P.O. Box addresses.

Refused or Undeliverable Shipments:

A $49.00 fee will be charged for shipments that are refused or undeliverable due to no fault of Smart Home Outlet or the courier.

Smart Home Outlet reserves the right to review and adjust shipping terms as needed.

Returns

Defective Hardware

• For up to 15 days from the shipment date, defective hardware can be returned after approval. It is the client’s responsibility to return the product promptly to the provided location.
• After 15 days, all defective products are covered under the Manufacturer’s Warranty policy.

Non-Defective/Factory-Sealed Products

• Opened, non-defective products cannot be returned due to manufacturer policies. No exceptions can be made.
• Factory-sealed products, still in their original shipping box, may be returned within 15 days of the shipment date.
• Returns of factory-sealed products are subject to a restocking fee of 20% (minimum $20.00), whichever is greater. Refunds or credits may take up to 15 business days after the returned product is received and processed.

Important Return Information

• Items returned without original packaging, missing components, or not meeting the approved conditions will be shipped back to the client at their expense.
• Shipping charges for returns are the client’s responsibility. Ensure all items are properly packaged and insured for their full value. The client is liable for any loss or additional damage during return shipment.

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 1-15 business days.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance as we don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Free same-day local pickup option

If you live in Mississauga, Toronto or nearby you might consider Free pickup option for your purchase. During your order choose Pickup From Store option in Delivery Method. After we receive your order we will contact you by email or text to confirm the best time for picking up your purchase.
